The primary objective of the workshop presented by the Italian artist Francesca Albergo is to explore the concept of "losing control" over figurative images by introducing randomness into the creative process. This can be achieved by incorporating some of the principles of "cadavre exquis." Additionally, participants will experiment with creating images based on their perception of colours and composition, deferring judgment on what the images show until the final stages of the process.

The aim of the workshop is for the participants to be able to restyle their clothing through a collaborative approach, using needle felting on textiles.Clothing, being a highly personal item often with stories and deep meaning, provides a rich foundation for exploring abstraction.Engaging in a collective process to transform personal garments could reveal that amidst the chaos, there are sometimes fascinating coincidences.

Francesca Albergo is an Italian designer and illustrator with a diverse educational background spanning various design disciplines. She pursued studies in product and graphic design at the University of Venice (IUAV) before furthering her education with a master's degree in illustration at ISIA Urbino. She also spent a year as a resident at Fabrica (TV), primarily contributing to the Colors magazine project.

Inspired by the work of self taught artists, Albergo's practice is centered on the process of experimentation. Embracing a "naive and instinctive" approach, she continually explores different techniques and methods, always seeking analog tools that allow her to "lose control" and obtain unexpected results, such as magic crayons, ink stains, wool, and glass.
